My name is Jon-Paul and I have been a photographer for 9 years. My first passion in photography was landscapes, and I sought inspiration from Ansel Adams. As I got older my dreams changed and my tastes shifted, By 21 I was very interested in the fashion world. So not long after that I started pursuing a career in Modeling, which turned out to be a success. Right now I am Represented by (Ford Models- SF/Ford Models-LA/Elite Model Management-Miami/Images Management NY/Choice Model-NY/Halvorson Model Management-SJ,CA) While modeling for ads on either coast I noticed my attention at the shoots were turning toward the Cameras and the equipment more than anything else. During Breaks I would find myself hanging out with the photographer and picking his brain for info on technique and style. My interest was changing to the technical side of the business being a photographer at heart. So I realized what I must do, open Jon-Paul Photography, and use the techniques that I have learned from the Pro’s who shoot campaigns and bring it to the models who need to build there books. Early in my modeling days I realized test shoots were hit and miss, the photographers that advertised model photography were terrible and didn’t know what the agents wanted, and the good ones were doing National Ad campaigns and will not do tests with models. On the other hand I know what the agents are looking for, and I know how to capture it, with my own unique style. Now I am on Both Sides of the camera and bringing you, the model the latest Trends and techniques of the industry.
