A few months ago i watched An inconvient truth a documentry made by Al Gore.
My first reaction was panic i was just really scared yet i was amazed ,shocked and inspired to do something to stop global warming...it made me think about my future and my generations future on this earth.i knew about global warming but only vaugely . I would never have dreamed that the consequences of global warming are so devastating !!Watching an inconvient truth was the most impotant thing i could have done i felt that in that instanc i had a goal to help save our planet .Here in Australia [where i live] in the past couple of months alot of articles about Global Warning have been in the paper and the goverment is looking to stop so many greenhouse gas emissions .Australia is in the middle of a huge drought as many of you already no and i feel that even more water restrictions have to be put in place .As i looked through myspace i was amazed at how many people there are who are helping stop global warming.As many people as possible have to see An Inconvient truth as many people as possible have to be warned and told !!!!!As a watched horrified the images of hurricane Katrina and the aftermath in New Orleans i knew we ,the people of planet earth have to act to stop such results and worse!!!
After i saw the movie my family switched to more energy efficiant light bulbs ,are looking in to solar power ,use even less water , never leave a light on if we are not in the room or need it .We use public transport as much as possible and most importantly we tell as many people we can not only about the movie but about the climate crisis at hand .There are many more thing that we as a family can do and will do . I feel that even if everyone cant get solar power or a more fuel efficient car everyone of us can switch of the light when we leave the room everyone of us can take a 5 minute shorter shower .The crisis can be solved if we all pull together .
