Aetheria began in the cold winter of 2000 by bassist Dennis Davis, lead guitarist Josh Burke, drummer Shaun Moffit, and rhythm guitarist Zeph. They began their hunt for the right addition of vocals and kept coming up short of a certain sound they sought. The band asked their friend Wendy to come sit in on a practice, and within the week she was singing and growling for Aetheria. Shortly afterward Maureen Rhines was added to the line up, playing symphonic masterpieces on an 88-key electric piano. They created their sound by mixing influences from old and new industrial, to Gothic metal, to black metal, to classical ambionic sounds and melodies with uses of dual technical guitars, chilling bass lines, powerful rhythms, haunting piano, and both operatic and gut wrenching wails.In the Fall of 2001, Aetheria decided to go their seperate ways, but not before they played to audiences stretching all over Northern California, and releasing a three-song demo--Current Projects Include:In The Slience http://www.myspace.com/inthesilencemusicLuscinia http://www.myspace.com/luscinia
