Kay Bess

In 1998, Kay Bess was selected as one of eight finalists in the Los Angeles Regional Academy of Gospel Music Arts Spotlight ’98 Competition. She won First Place in the Vocal Performance Category at the1988 Christian Artist Regional Seminar in Anaheim, and 3rd place in her age category at the national C.A.S. competition in The Colorado Rockies that same year. The premiere issue of L.A. Music Magazine (May ’98) called Kay’s “the voice of an angel…” and Music Connection Magazine (May ’98 demo review) suggested “publishing companies check into what [Kay] has to offer…”No longer classifying herself as a "Christian artist" Kay writes, records, and plays a variety of musical styles in Los Angeles as a solo artist and backing vocalist when she isn't consumed with the love of her life - her five year old daughter. She has worked with legendary producers such as Grammy winners and Oscar nominees Clif Magness and Michel Colombier. Along with music, Kay makes her living in the highly competitive commercial acting field doing voice-over for radio and television.
