Reviews of our CD:
"I can't decide if there's something distinctly New York about Bazooka Falcon or they're encompassing a wider berth that transcends locale.
Their eight-song, self-titled debut is, above all, garage rock, influenced by all of the usual suspects. What lends the four-piece distinction – or at least puts them in that “New York garage rock†category I referred to previously – is the bratty delivery of hipster disdain. That gives their high energy songs a sort of “Fuck you, I don't need you†neediness. The slower “Steven Hairy†gives the sneering delivery a quasi-Velvet Underground vibe, making the band a more obnoxious sibling to Austin's The Black Angels (minus the Vietnam War fixation).
For what they're playing, Bazooka Falcon hits most if not all the right notes. It's simple and direct, but not so much as to be primitive and dumbed down. Yet the singing made it difficult for me to find anything to latch onto. So let's say this is for the garage rock enthusiasts, regardless of region."

"Feeding off the garage sound of The Hellacopters coupled with the grittiness of MC5 and the boogie of Fu Manchu, Bazooka Falcon create their own genre."

"Big rock in the vein of The Hives. This stuff is always so hard to pull off right. This band does a decent job although I’m still not bowled over. My preference would be for a little more garage nastiness in the vein of Mudhoney. Fans of the more abrasive dirty rock might get into this band as well as those that habitually delve into the stoner rock genre. Nurture your bowl to these sounds."
