Eazy Peeps,Mr Shine's in da space! As far back as i can remember,i've always wanted 2 be a Musician. From when my mom used 2 shout "Stop that bloody tappin" using a pair of chopsticks or a biro's,anythin 2 bang out dem beats on bits of furniture, pots & pans.Music is my heart & soul! Born in Birmingham but spent most of my life in Manny,since Sept '79 to be exact,when a so called fad by the name of Hip-Hop began spreading her grace across the globe...that's when i really got into it. Learning all the 5 disciplines along the way ie; MCing,DJing,Graffiti,Breaking & Popping got me involved wid my first crew Broken Glass the very first B-boy crew in Manchester,rehearsing in the Hacienda before any-one ever heard of it. Not long after...rap music was gettin bigger & i started developing my Beatbox & Rhyming skills,i hooked up wid my friend & schoolmate Nicky Lockett A.K.A M.C.Tunes & we both started tekkin it very serious,cos being an apprentice engineer wasn't really what i had my mind set on being. We both joined local DJ & Promoter Johnny Jay's infamous Rock Da House Crew alongside M.C.Buzz B & Prince Cool,touring all the under 18 clubs of England tearing it up,Manchesters "Gallery" being one of them,happy days!Our first proper gig was at the Boardwalk,March '87(still got the flyer) as part of a collective called Hitsquad MCR alongside A Guy Called Gerald & Spin Masters,which eventually split,metamorphisized & formed into 808 State. By this time,the Madchester thing blown up & everyone started raving. That's when i took my Mic 2 the warehouse party's & clubs. Then i started gettin down wid The Mix Factory's DJ Mark XTC,doing big events like; Fantazia,Dreamscape,One Nation,Vision & Mythology. As well as being a resident M.C. at spots like;The Banshee,Rockworld,Limit & The Riverside. I got back in the studio & joined 2 Dance outfits;Danny Hybrid & Mike E-Block's group E-Lustrious & released a track entitled 'On The Ragga Tip' & Johnny Jay's Family Foundation from which we released 'Express Yourself' on Pete Waterman's newly formed 380 Records & both singles became vintage underground classics,along with a mini album called 'One Blood' with signature track 'Ten Snide E's'. Been in & out the lab as time beats & been involved in alot of projects writing & producing,working with Nicky Lockett's group Dust Junkies & performed on there album 'Done & Dusted' track entitled 'Beatbox Wash' which Fatboy Slim later sampled 'That's What We're Doin' When The Fatboys Trippin'. I also worked with Tony Wilson's group Space Monkey's & performed on there album & the single 'Sugarcane'.Around the same time '96-97,although i was signed with a record deal my debut solo single 'Shaft' was released but not a hit,so i was dropped & fell on hard times(Like y'do from time 2 time) & wid my last pennies bought myself a pair of Technics,a sound system & started earning extra cash DJing. I also hooked up wid a dude called Mike Powell & penned a track entitled 'Flowers' which i origially wrote for Boyzone & East 17, but 4 years later became a U.K. Garage smash 4 Sweet Female Attitude goin' straight in charts at No2 becoming the biggest ever Garage hit & 10th biggest hit of the year 2000.The same year i was a resident M.C.at all the Brown Sugar events wid Blacka Bullet & spent 5 weeks workin' in Aiya Napa,(Let's go down 2 Nissi,let's go swim wid the fishy-fishy, then after that,let's all go 2 the Square & then get real pissy-pissy).Since then iv'e concentrated more on DJing,Mixtapes,Remix & Production & played in venues varied as the music i play,almost every sweaty basement & cocktail lounge of Manchester but still love 2 spit bars & when duty calls,always ready 4 a battle! (Don't Be Fooled By The Way I Stagger. Venues iv'e played include;Sugarlounge - Lounge 31 - Cocoa Rooms - Circle - Cottonhouse - M2 - Oddessy- BabyGrand - Yesterday's & Gaia Bar. Iv'e also played at Ultima & currently DJ & Promote a night called Maneo wid my partner Jay Shortall,check the website;(www.maneoworld.com) the best night in town,your town,wherever we at! So that's pretty much me & what i'm about in a nutshell...& Big respect 2 anyone who's jus took time out 2 read this biog' without gettin' bored 2 death!All i can say is...whilst being in the music game,i've learned it's a very ruthless & fickle business truss me (That's What They All Say) Beware of the Snakes & fakes,watch y'back,keep it real & always keep y'third eye open.
