About Me

I am a Shoshone Paiute from Nevada. I have been living here most of my life but did get a chance to go to school at Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute or aka SIPI in Albuquerque, NM and Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS. I have one child, a boy who is the light of my life and with out him my life would be SO different. I am currently working on getting my bachelors degree just to say I got one- naw it has been a goal since I was a young(er). I work for my tribe with a bunch of goofy looking guys -jk- in the fisheries department. I have one older brother name Arnold who operates his owns business called White Buffalo Knife Consulting. My brother has a daughter named Kirsten and a grandson named Dayln. I have one younger sister, Claudia, who works with the hospital and has a daughter named Journie. Lastly my moms- Glenda, she is such an inspiration to me because she taught me that sometimes things don't come easy in life and you just have to tough it out.When someone needs your help or wants you to do something you think before you act. See, at heart you believe deeply in personal freedom and individual responsibility. You think it is vital that people learn to take care of themselves so that they don't become dependent upon others. You believe that actions have consequences, and people need to accept the consequences of their actions if they are to learn from their mistakes and grow. You believe you wouldn't be doing anyone a favor if you lift someone out of trouble; they will never learn to lift themselves up if you keep rescuing them. And if you keep giving people a second, third or fourth chance, you have seen that people seldom develop the character they need to live decent and responsible lives.You believe that compassion has a role to play in your life, in a structure of values that is encourages people to take care of themselves. Uncritical tenderheartedness does as much harm as good. You much prefer if people understand, in factual, empirical terms, how they got into trouble, and how they can lift themselves out of the mess they are in. In an emergency, of course, you're there to offer help and if someone has helped you out in the past there is no question about your loyalty. But whenever it is realistic, you are convinced people should take care of themselves.Along with this you devote adequate time to taking care of your own needs and wants, in part because it makes you happy with your life and in part because that's what you truly believe every person should do. You cherish personal independence for yourself and others. Fostering such independence is the best way you find there is to love and care for others.So I have realized that you have to be flexible in everything you do....I thought my life was like a map and there were directions to it and everything would turn out if you just put one foot in front of the other. Now that my life has come to a stand still and everything has stopped I sit back and wonder why? I honestly want to blame someone but then my life would only be full of revenge and hate..so then I turn to God and want to blame him..then i think why does god what from me and then.. then I blame myself..I am the only one that can change or control my life and how I live it. I have realized my son is a breath of sunshine and he needs his mommy to be strong and take care of him, I have realized my parents love me very much and would do anything in their grasp for me, I have realized I have a very loving and supportive family who will always be there, and thats all that counts! So maybe I needed something to stop my busy chaotic life to show me what is important and what I should be focusing on. Who are you to judge the life I live? I know I'm not perfect and I don't live to be, but before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean-credit to Honey AKA babycakes and Bob{}
