About Me


Started in November 2006 by Sam Buckley, brothers, Ste and Mat Ladley and Louis Davies Honeymagic blend Rock music with a bit of funk to give their sound a groove. Their first e.p. 'Life in 3D' was recorded in January 07, most of which is on this page. Unfortunately Louis left the group in May 07 amicably due to increased commitments with his other band. Rob Burton then joined to replace Louis on drums and the group have been playing together since! The band try to play regular gigs in the Huddersfield, Manchester area.

A guitarist dressed like Slash, playing like John Fruscante, opens with a lead so drenched in wah that it could have formed a new sea. And then didn’t let up. This was a lesson in funk rock. From ‘Summerfield Avenue’ through to ‘Wallcover’, every riff, every lead, every vocal was perfectly executed, with an extraordinary level of flair and confidence. Ralls, drum changes and numerous guitar effects all reared their heads; this was a display that even the next act declared was hard to follow. In fact, it was impossible to follow; an immaculate performance, and certainly a band to watch.
