While in her senior year at Lasalle, Rosa was a semi-finalist in the prestigious Smirnoff competition. After graduation, she accepted her first position with Canadian bridal designer Justina McCaffrey. With a desire to further develop her natural talents, Rosa left her native country to create along side some of Italy’s most renowned designers.Her work as an embroidery designer for such high profile clients as Fendi, Valentino and Etro can be found between the covers of Vogue, Glamour and Harper’s Bazaar. Rosa’s position enabled her to meet and work with such celebrated designers as Anna Molinari of Blumarine and Alessandro Dell ’Acqua.Upon her return from Italy, Rosa immediately put her experience to work and launched her own ready to wear line, R o s a c o s t a n z o. In March 2003, the Toronto Fashion Incubator chose
R o s a c o s t a n z o to headline their prestigious New Labels Show for Fall 2003 during Toronto Fashion Week.Rosa has since appeared in numerous articles in all of the top Canadian magazines such as, Jeanne Beker’s FQ, Elle Canada, NUVO, Style, Fashion, TV Guide and Preston Catalogue. Rosa has also had her designs showcased on many national television programs from Fashion Television, Fashion File, MTV E2 and eTalk. Some of Rosa’s present day clients include such celebrities as Tara Nairn-Spencer (Corner Gas), Wendy Crewson (Suddenly Naked) and Lauren Holly who recently wore Rosa’s designs during a tour of the talk show circuit in the US. Rosa and her †fashion studio†will also appear on an upcoming segment of Degrassi: The Next Generation.
