> WHO AM I?
I'm a singer, composer and former member of the band G4 . I've been singing as long as I can remember.
I appear in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral , and I've sung on many movie soundtracks, including The Browning Version , The Ref and The Pelican Brief . In 2001, I won the Surrey Young Male Singer competition. I studied classical singing/music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama for 4 years, where I gained a scholarship and a degree.
Currently, I'm writing, writing some more and also experimenting with different sounds to come up with an album that I'm looking to release sometime soon. The vibe is singer/songwriter in a different direction to the classical/crossover style with which I've more recently been associated, made from the various songs I've written over the past years as well as some which I'm currently writing...so watch this space!!
> WHO ARE G4?
G4 is a classical/crossover group signed to Sony-BMG, who appeared on the British TV talent show The X Factor in 2004 and over their 3-year career released 3 albums (selling 1.5 million in the UK), a DVD, a book and completed their fifth and final tour across the UK in May and June 2007.
G4 highlights include collaborating with Lesley Garrett , Robin Gibb , Stephen Gately and Sir Cliff Richard , performing in the Royal Albert Hall more times than any other venue (a dozen times), and having a rollercoaster ride ( G-Force ) named after them, which they opened at Drayton Manor Theme Park. They recently disbanded after 3 years in August 2007 to give themselves more time to persue their own individual dreams.
> MY WORK AS A COMPOSER & SONGWRITER:
I've lost count of how many songs I've written and I'm always writing new ones, all of which are very different styles - from pop to classical.
Also, I'm writing an opera, which I started a few years ago, which takes time! I've already written the story and libretto myself and now I'm currently finishing off all the music. I've also started writing a West End musical because I love writing in different styles, as well as a few other projects, so watch this space!
> WHY NOT TODAY:
If you are wanting to hear the song WHY NOT TODAY which I sang on "The Farewell Tour", then watch this space as soon I'm going to record it and put it up on this page. In the meantime, there's a video of part of the song on the left-hand side of this page.
> RAISING MONEY FOR CHARITY:
I've recently run the Great South Run and the London Marathon for Bowel Cancer UK . This charity is close to my heart and thanks to people like you I've managed to raise over £6,500 ...!!
Thank you so much to all of you who have so generously sponsored me. If you haven't had the chance yet and would like to do so, then use the link here. Don't forget, every little counts!
