Greyhound Pets of America Charleston was created in November 2003 and adopted our first greyhound late in December of the same year. Since then, we have placed over 100 dogs in loving homes in and around the Charleston metro area.
We are a member of the national organization Greyhound Pets of America, who's website is www.greyhoundpets.org. For more information on our national group, please see their website.
If you are interested in adopting, fostering or volunteering with the only greyhound organization located in Charleston, please contact us here on Myspace, or via email at [email protected]. We foster all our dogs locally and support their forever families with local representatives well versed in the differences between greyhounds and other breeds of dogs.
Greyhounds are special animals and we recommend researching the breed prior to determining a greyhound is the right dog for you. Retired racers have special needs and require a home full of love and patience. If you think you are such a home, please contact us. We'd love to meet you!
