John Ventura (born April 24, 1974, San Benedetto del Tronto, AP) is an Italian guitarist best known as a founding member of the band MAR+’.
John first played guitar at age 18, together his childhood friend Simmy, who would later become the singer of MAR+’. He was a largely self-taught guitarist who developed his skills through attempts to match the skill of his idols, who included Jimi Hendrix, Tom Morello, John Petrucci, Kiko Loureiro and Slash.
John attended private lessons with Cistola Giacinto and subsequently with Fagioli Fabrizio, and had been playing in many bands from Abruzzo (Heaven’s Sins, Planet Gabba and more).
John is respected for his variety of guitar styles and skills: crossover, blues and metal progressive.
In 2004 John with Simmy, Widius and Mr Lucky, founded MAR+’ band, after the period called “Rivoluzione Cipovoâ€.
Then 5 were the members of band, with the added one of Wildboard.
Now he's been removed from the band.
