music is all about expression. the more you put in, the more you will have to express... passion, time, skill and a good set of ears!!! is there really a point with music where you can personally class your self as pro(income aside).. you could stumble across your own truly original genre creation and not even know it. those loops you hear time and time again in the strive for perfection, over time become a pile of terd to the creator, but to many, it may be great.. so theres a lesson in all this; pay compliments to your fellow composers and anyone who creates something you like or admire. sum up a peice of music (for instance) in a few words and let them know; it makes a world of difference to know someone appreciates your music... and dont latch on to the nearest creator or sound just because "oh my gad its so great y'know!" make your own style, however weird it may be... the hardcore scene for instance is booming at the moment, but lets not forget it once died before and will again!!! so keep the ball rolling and push out the boundries, and we'll keep the scene alive!! (this peice was inspired partially by a really great post on jon does page; check it!!) oh and breaky phat fast drums are on the up
