Florida YoungN’z first started out as a duo of brothers Ro-B (23) and RJ (20) in 2005 in Tallahassee. G (23), a college roommate of Ro-B joined the group on New Year’s 2006 making the group a trio instead of a duo. Ro-B and RJ from Palm Beach and G from St. Petersburg came together at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. Like many students the financial problems of college took a toll on the men forcing them to resign and pursue their music. End of January 2006 the group recorded their first album "Florida’s Best Kept Secret" which had 15 songs all produced by Kid Kid in 10 hours at the Skylab Studios in Gainesville Florida. The single "I’m Real Boy" got spins on 100.7 The Beat by Thrill Da Playa of 69 Boyz before it was closed down. But due to managerial problems the album received little to no promotion. Then in September of 2007 the group released Get It While It’s Hot:Street Album. On this release the YougnN’z rapped over beats from rappers T.I., Young Jeezy, UGK, Outkast, and many more. Also using 5 of their own Kid Kid produced tracks the album is a certified banger. Churning out the club single "Oh Yeah" that got spins on FAMU’s 90.5 with DJ One Champ. Over 1,000 copies of Get It While It’s Hot:Street Album have been sold throughout Florida and Atlanta, Georgia and still counting. The style of rap that they use is like no other. It’s three different flows and deliveries of motivating insightful lyrics while still representing their state to the fullest, hence the name. Currently they are working on their newest project of all new material.
