Curse of Pain has been formed back in November 2003 as a Sideproject from our other band Without Warning, due to the matter of fact that the other band members didn't had much time anymore. So we decided to form our own lil band. This also gave us the ability to play the music we could have never played with the other guys. Not being bound to a single genre style of music opend a new door.
So we just jammed arround and recorded a big variety of music. The first song we ever recorded as Curse of Pain was "Gang 15",
which translated means "Corridor 15".
I wrote the lyrics for 5 songs a year before and had the idea for a concept album.
It was all based on a few things a friend of mine told me. He gave me the main idea for writing all songs for a conept album.

Since we didn't had a drummer we used a drummachine from the good old days of 1982 which served us very well for almost all recordings of the "Baumarkt Massaker" (Massacre in a DIY Store) Demo CD. For the first recordings we used a very old tape recorder with a simple computer microphone. So the quality of the first songs were horrific. While recording the first few songs, I wrote 2 new songs which fitted perfectly into the Baumarkt Massaker concept. Then after a while our old drummer re-joined us and helped us at some recordings, but soon he left us again. Between 2005 and 2006 we recorded a lot of Nonsense Stuff and most of the Songs we could grab out landed on the "Forgotten B-Sides" CD. Unfortunatley we couldn't put every Song onto that cd cause a my computer fucked up several times and I lost many songs. In 2006 we also started the works on our 2nd CD,another Concept Album.
This time not with an ongoing Story but a music Concept.
ExperiMental Metal.
The Manifestation of what Curse of Pain was all about. Not being held in a genre and sterotype thinking just playing what ever we wanted to.
2007 was THE Year of CoP. We gatherd our Asses back together and started to take the stuff more serious. We started the Myspace Site and we began to record new stuff. One day Matze brought a CD Cover Design Programm over and we started to finally make the Artworks for our cds. In a 3 Hour rush we managed to finally gave "Baumarkt Massaker" the Cover Artwork it deserved. Holding the First own made CD with Front- and Backcover and a CD Print in our Hands overwhelmd us so much, that we ran back to record the last songs for "Experimental Metal".
2007 in the lovely month July we began the Mainrecordings for the 3rd normal CD Parkinglot Stories. It was supposed to become another concept album, but we decided to add pieces of personal stories onto it. On July the 13th we recorded a lot of stuff. That day seemed so perfect for it that I wrote the Lyrics for "Freitag der 13." just one day before. We spend 5 hours in the practice room and recorded that song kinda like 5 times in a row. Untill we finally hit the magical 13 Minutes and 13 Seconds Mark. I also made our first real music video ever "Parkinglot Terrorizing". You can see it in the Video section of our Profile. Then it became quiet about us again. In November CoP turned 4 years old. To celebrate it we recorded the Live Rehearsal Video "IV Jahre" (see it in the Video section) and also made the "Baumarkt Massaker 4 Years Anniversary" CD. Which is still downloadable from our Blog.
2008 has been a dead year for CoP. We had planned so much but achieved nothing of it. Untill October when we finally hit the Band room again. We recorded 3 Songs to test out new stuff, but the sound quality sucked for the recordings. Just GWC turned out mentionable enough to land on the Player. Still we plan to Re-Record the 3 songs to hopefully get a better Quality this time.
2009 also started a bit dead untill the en of Febuary. We lifted our asses out of our chairs and hit the road again. We took a dozen of great pictures which you can see in the Picture Gallery. And it was the Month for being 2 Years on Myspace, so we decided to change the Layout completley.

We finally managed to break the 9300 Views and the Play Counter reched the 6450. Also "Longingly I wait for you" broke through the 1500 Plays. Thanks for all the support we get even though it went silent about us for ages again.

I know it became very quiet about us right now, still we almost achieved the 9K Views. But it looks good that we could create another Concept Album. Also I am changing some of the songs on here. "Mistress, Torture me to Death" is back up on the Player.

11th of April 2009:
We are working on new Songs. Some Lyrics have been written and some notes wrote down. Now all we need to do is to combine the music with the lyrics.
Also some Ollllddd Songs will be rerecorded.
Also we went on 8663 Plays and 5663 Plays. And thanks for all the Adds we recived lately.
3rd of April 2009:
Thanks to Myspace we can upload up to 10 Songs now. Since we unfortunatley still have no real new Material to upload I will bring up some ass old Songs. This will also give you a hint on what we plan right now ;)

Thanks to you all for your comments. We realy appreciated 'em. I wasn't too sure if the new Layout was good but the tons of visits since it's up speak on their own. We ran over the 8400 Views and 5350 Plays. Thanks again to all who support us by placing our Banner onto their sites and telling all their friends about us. We still keep looking forward for some Re-Recordings. Yet we have no clue which songs will be redone.
9th of March 2009:
Finally the New Layout is up. New Contact Template, New Band Member Pics, New Background, Color changes etc etc. Leave us some comments if you like the changes or not. Also we broke through the 8100 Views and 5100 Plays. But most Important is that "Longingly I wait for you" broke the 1K plays. New Re-Recordings are planned also hence our last recordings sucked ass. We will re-record some of the Material and hope that we get better songs this time haha. Maybe 1 or 2 new Tracks also. So Stay tuned for the Curse...

25th of Febuary 2009:
Yes normaly this week we planned to make new recordings. But Fate had another plan for us. The firm where we have our practice room decided to kick us out to turn the room into an office. We have 3 weeks left to get our stuff out and cleaning the room.
For the next few weeks / months Curse of Pain will go back into hybernation again.
2nd of Febuary 2009:
We reached a new nice Number.
Also we Reached 4650 Plays. Unfortunatley those are kinda all the News we have for you this time.
5th of January 2009:
Since CoP still lies in hybernation nothing new will happen here for another while. I just moved the old News from 2008, well there wasn't realy much, into a Blog to fasten up the loading time for the site.
Soon we will hit the 7600 Views and hopefully also soon the 4400 plays.

We haven't been able to continue the works on our new Material cause I got all my 4 Wisdom Teeth pulled out end of October and in November. So I wasn't able to sing at all for a long while. Matzes other Band had a few Gigs so that made everything a bit more difficult also.
