Lou Lou & The Guitarfish

About Me

The Guitarfish Origin Myth: George & Lou Lou are growing up in a 5-story warehouse on skid row in downtown SF. There are always lots of instruments lying around, 'cos their parents are musicians (Crime, Other Music, VS., Poontang Wranglers)... ONE DAY George decides to learn to play, so he does. Guitar, bass, drums, keys, all on his own. Lou Lou shows him some lyrics she wrote. George composes music for them, and she sings while he multi-tracks everything onto his iMac. And they have a song. And it's pretty good and they're having fun, so they write some more and record them, too... NEXT THING YOU KNOW, their music's getting airplay on Pirate Cat Radio. And from that radio show they're booked at The Bottom of the Hill, like right away. So they shanghai some friends from Tinkture to fill out the lineup, and now they're a band. David Katznelson of Birdman Records is in the house at their very first show, and he likes them a lot... A YEAR LATER, George and Lou Lou are having a totally awesome time rockin' with Lena, Mark and Nathan. They've got lotsa new songs, and they've played lotsa swell gigs, and they've got an album out on Birdman! Available in stores and on iTunes NOW! Untitled
