GARMA nace en Cantabria en 2006. El sonido de GARMA está construido alrededor de la instrumentación tradicional cántabra: Voz, Acordeón Cromático, Flautas, Gaita, Alboguel, Pitu y Percusiones. Sin olvidar instrumentos de otras tradiciones o instrumentos actuales, que realzan y armonizan perfectamente sus temas: Guitarra Acústica, Flauta travesera, Whistles, Teclado, Bajo Pedal, Percusiones Étnicas, etc...Del impulso de su propia creación surge la grabación de su primer disco, homónimo, que es un trabajo fresco, con guiños a la tradición y lo ecléctico. Tocando los extremos de lo lúdico de un baile y de la sensibilidad de una balada.Tras este primer disco, GARMA vuelve al estudio y en diciembre de 2006 edita su segundo disco LLAR, disco en el que encontramos villancicos tradicionales y composiciones inspiradas en el Invierno.Esta es la propuesta de unos músicos abiertos a nuevas sonoridades, sin perder en ese gesto, el peso de la música de raÃz. GARMA's sound is constructed by the traditional instrumentation from Cantabria: Voice, Piano Accordion, Flutes, Bagpipe, Alboka, Pitu and Percussions. Without forgetting instruments of other traditions or current instruments, which heighten and harmonize perfectly their topics: Acoustic Guitar, Flute, Whistles, Keyboard, Bass Pedal, Ethnic Percussions, etc...From the impulse of their own creation there arises the recording of their first disc, homonym, which is a fresh work, with winks to the tradition and the eclectic thing. Touching the ends of the playful of a dance and of the sensibility of a ballad.After this first disc, GARMA returns to the study and in December, 2006 their second disc extracts LLAR, disc in which we find traditional Christmas carols and compositions inspired by the Winter.
