Welcome to my online gallery! Feel free to relish in it. I am an amateur photographer who has reverence for photos and everything captured there in. Photographing started as a hobby for me, which quickly bloomed into my life's passion. What fascinates me is that one frame, however still, can be so alive. During the era of the invention of the camera, Native Americans disliked having their pictures taken. They believed to photograph meant the capture and trapping of one's soul. I also subscribe to this theory. However, it is not that the subject is being accursed by the act of photographing, rather they are leaving their imprint, a ripple in time. One who has passed still lives through their portrait. This is evident in their eyes, the honesty in their person when they are caught off guard, or the expression on their faces. Photographing is a way to connect with the deceased and keep what we loved most about them close; their spirit. Photography also captures the living and our humanity, our conflicts, our nature, our environment, our whole existence. It is controversial, empowering, challenging, and honest. Photography is an outlet, enabling one to put the world on display. This is my world on display. Enjoy.
