Blue Heat

About Me

Blue Heat played their debut gig at the 1991 Ballarat Blues Festival. They played at numerous festivals all around the country in the early ninties and recorded two CDs. In 1995 their album ' Marooned' won the Australian Blues Album of the Year' and in 1996 'Irresistible Behaviour' also won the award. Marco Goldsmith was awarded the 1995 'Australian Blues Artist of the Year' and Blue Heat won the 'Australian Blues Band of the Year' in 1996.
The big swinging sound of the band, backed by a three-piece horn section and fueled by dueling guitar and keyboards, is fronted by Marco Goldsmith's crooning vocals and strong stage presence.
In May 1997, one of the finest R&B bands in Australia called it a day after acheiving nationwide acclaim and a last memorable night supporting B.B. King.
Ten years later, all the original band members have reformed to reclaim their title as Australia's pre-eminent R&B outfit.
