Daraja Hakizimana

Born and raised in Houston, TX, artist/producer Daraja Hakizimana has been putting it down for the last four years in H-town's underground Hip-Hop and jazz scene. His debut was with Kamakazae, paired with lead vocalist Mitchelle'l showcasing Daraja as the writer, producer, and background vocalist. This electric chemistry produced one classic album entitled The Bootleg Appeal, an R&B album which was the first official release of Daraja's record label My Block Recordz.Now solo, Daraja is back with a whole new clique, The BossPlayaz and has released a new album, Poet King. Poet King offers a smooth, hip-hop vibe that is reminicent of living room flows and sessions. Complimenting these sessions is the starting line-up from My Block Recordz including That Boy Cayse, Black Tha Moses, Mitch Ill and Lyricidal tha Genius. A change from your basic club beat, Darajas interpretations are extremely refreshing, with selling albums being secondary to self expression. Enjoy!
