The band initially started off with Klaus, Julian, and Gabe who were all talented musicians (unbeknownst among each other at the time) who decided to get together and jam. The flow of the jam went well and overall the vibe was great, ergo the band had formed. Through many discussions and debates, the band name eventually just boiled down to AFS (which stands for A Future Scorn). All we needed next was a bass player. We had originally put Kenny Mania on line-up for bass who delivered well, but unfortunately couldn't stay with the band, but alas, through the loss of Kenny came Tyler Mountain who certainly delivered, and still is. Things were going well but in the end, it turned out that Gabe couldn't stick around as he is moving away, so the lead singer was lost. Klaus took up vocals in the meanwhile, and during this time, AFS' first album was written and recorded. After the recording, they performed their debut at the Good Times Cafe which went over very well.Although Klaus sung on the first album, he wasn't quite what the band was looking for in a singer, and this also didn't allow him to play at his potential, therefore more ads went up looking for new talent to join the band. After looking hard for a new singer, when all hope seemed lost, Mr. Justin Argent had come along who is everything that AFS had hoped for in a singer. He is jamming with them now and is officially the new singer for AFS.....or so it was.As good things come, they also do not last. Justin was unable to stay with the band as he had personal issues arise. He had to leave leaving the band once again without a vocalist. So, as done in the past, Klaus has taken up vocals once again.AFS is still working hard with new material all the time, and although they've had a shortage of shows, a new demo will hopefully be recorded in Barrie sometime in March containing some new material, as well as old ones revisited. Expect a massive improvement in quality as the band decides to tackle the bigger leagues in recording.
