Vibrokings is a pulsating blues combo who consists of three experienced musicians who have travelled several thousand miles in the service of music, until they decided to start their own band during the winter of 2003. With self composed material and also fresh versions of music from some of the greatest legends in the blue world, the band has established a large repertoire. Since the start they have played both clubs and festivals.In front you will find song writer, vocal singer and guitar player Jørn Kjonerud. Together with drummer Trond Volden and bass player Tom Arne Olsen they form a trio who really know and can theyr blues and rock.The band has so much energy and a pleasure of playing that can get anyone carried away. When they start their show, inspired both by Texas- , Chicago- and british blues, it is not easy to stay untouched.One night with ”Vibrokings” consists of really good pulsating guitar play, an accompaniment that swings, mixed with a good share of dynamics. This is the band’s trade mark and a sure recipe.The band has released two albums. Their debut album, titled “55” was recorded in England, during march 2004 and was released the same year. It recived very good revues. The release of the album “Dedication” in may 2007 has established the band in the Norwegian blues scene. The album came together after a trip Jørn made to Mississippi in search of the roots of blues music.At the same time they are trying to give as many live concerts as possible, in order to create a reputation as a band to count on both in Norway and abroad.You can not afford to miss Vibrokings!
