Kate Hearne is a recorder player and Baroque cellist from Dublin, but she now spends much of her time in Sweden, where she has just finished her Masters studies with Dan Laurin and Chrichan Larson at Stockholm's Royal College of Music. Since winning the Montréal International Recorder Competition in 2005, she has established herself as one of the emerging young talents on the Baroque scene. She is currently collaborating with several Baroque musicians in Scandinavia, the UK and Ireland on exciting projects, and she has some grand plans for the future, so watch this space!!
