Fresh Moods

About Me

It all started in 1994 based on the idea to do some productions on my own in contrast to the club tracks I did with the djs. The only instance of quality should be me, no label, publisher or artist. In '96 the first track was released on german television br3 -Space Night Earthviews IV- Five licences to this format, several tracks on hr3 -flowmotion-, -hessenbilder-, pro7-, vox-, arte- tv and several commentary backround music followed. Until '96 four lps, three maxi singles and about 50 tracks on combilations were released. Licenses to cinema, tv, score and broadcast are in constant use.In retrospect to all productions I did under Fresh Moods so far, the songs are moods in tones I found no words for. Not to be misunderstood the sound has to be perfect and timeless. An idea is catched in three hours, the production needs about one to three weeks and sometimes it gets reworked after a couple of month. The lps are more extracts of a diary, than concept albums. Thanks for all the feedback and grants,Peterpress info about the last cd called "exhale":Normally, the new longplayer by peter haubfleisch aka fresh moods would have fitted perfectly into the elektrolux anniversary year 2005. otherwise: the eleventh label year could not begin more promising… since fresh mood..s debut in 1996, his releases for elektrolux ("swerve" 2000, "love, death, angels" 2002) have influenced the aesthetics of the label considerably and, along the way, have shifted the horizon of modern chillout extensively towards freestyle, funk, offbeat, twostep house and elektro. this is continued consequently by his fourth album as well: "exhale" is a perfect symbiosis of a relaxed-romantical and often cineastic-athmospherical flood of images with concrete "headnodder" beats and thus demonstrates a clear down-to-earth feeling. a campfire blues guitar is floating over the beach ("solarcell") along with a slomo-hiphop-beat and a distortion downbeat shows its most enamoured facet ("for ever"). even deeply melancholic piano melodies do not have to do without a solid dopebeat ("so far"). featured by simone miranda..s vocals, fresh moods present their version of deep future jazz souls ("u gone") as well.
