About Me

Started Originally on the piano aged 7. Took up the Trombone aged 9. Begun learning the Bass Guitar aged 15 and then naturally progressed onto double bass a year later. At the moment I am based in London and the South studying at the Royal Academy of Music doing Jazz Trombone under the tuition of Gordon Campbell (BBC Big Band), Mark Bassey (Loose Tubes) and Nichol Thompson (Michael Brecker, Brand New Heavies). I've played with Steve Waterman, Bruce Adams, Martin Shaw, Ben Castle, Alan Barnes, Guy Barker,John Taylor, Stan Sultzman, Gerard Presencer, Julian Joseph, Mark Nightingale and Howie Casey. I've supported for Herbie Hancock and Wynton Marsalis. In July 2009 I was lucky enough to be selected to represent the Royal Academy of Music in the International Association of the Schools of Jazz meeting in Lucerne, Switzerland. The meeting was also run by Dave Liebman. Venues I've played at include: the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and Foyer as well as many venues over the south. I play in many different types of bands. These range from funk/soul bands to classical orchestras, latin bands, rock, big bands, jazz groups and cocktail piano or duos.
