Influenced by my older cousins I started listening to hip hop from an early age - since I was around 7 or 8 years old. It was all started with artists like Public Enemy & NWA then Gangster Guru, Nas, Jay Z and of course Biggie Smalls & Tupac. I enjoy all types of music from all genres and use this music to influence what I write today, but you could say hip hop is where my heart is.I became truly interested in writing in 2001, but not taking myself and my music serious at first. I performed my work around my local area with my close friends. Then in 2003 I started hosting an underground radio show on Sub Jam FM where I was a host for DJ Deadly. We were the radio stations main hip hop & R&B show at that time.In late 2004/2005 I took a break from writing. Whilst taking a break from music and writing I started reading & researching about spiritual, political & social issues, which has made me a more confident & productive artist. I now have a better understanding of these issues and I chose to address them in my music. When I started in 2001 I went under the name MC Hazzardus. After almost a 2 year break from the music scene I decided to change my stage name and came up with the name Conscept. Due to the strong message behind my music, still being the boy from the past and the man from the future I decided Hazzardus Conscept would be my stage name. The Message. The message behind the Hazzardus Conscepts music is all about peace, love, freedom & unity whilst trying to voice the frustration of my generation. I also try to offer a positive solution without expressing hate or promoting guns and violence.I hope you will give my music a chance as I believe I have a powerful message to deliver.
