JJ McCoy has been singing and playing Country music since he was 12 years old, his writing songs really took off in the past 10 years. He has been living in Florida since 2000 where he Fronted a Florida Band called Fakahatchee. More recently he has moved to Nashville to further his music and writing career, as well as enjoy the beautiful state of Tennessee! His musical journey has allowed him to share the stage with such acts as Toby Keith, Merle Haggard, Tracy Byrd, Gary Allen, Confederate Railoroad, Daryle Worley, Steve Holly, Sons of the Dessert, Terri Clark, Sammy Kershaw, John Anderson, Lonestar, Tracy Lawrence, Little Texas, Charlie Daniels, Phil Vassar and the list goes on! He is a firm believer in the lyrics to the David Alan Coe song The Ride," Mister can you make folks cry when you play and sing, have you paid your dues can you moan the blues, can you bend them guitar strings, Boy can you make folks feel what you feel inside, cause if your big star bound let me warn ya its a long hard ride". Living life where you want to be and doing what you want to do being blessed with the opportunity to share your heart, not living with delusions of being a Star! For him singing and playing for people and making a living for his family already makes him a Star!
