Jude Bowerman plays straight-up tear-your-head-off funky music. Drawing from such influences as jazz, funk, blues and hip-hop, their raw original music unseats audiences and leaves them with no alternative but to shake their butts. Known for their love of interaction and audience inclusiveness, the band's shows have been compared with those such as Spearhead and Ben Harper.Having toured relentlessly, performing at hip venues such as the Boom Boom Room in San Francisco, CA and Quixotes in Denver, CO, they are poised for national attention. Jude's live performances are high energy and uplifting, with non-stop infectious grooves punctuated by a distinctly original voice and firey guitar playing. His influences and abilities are seemingly endless, and his energy to share and perform is equally as deep.Along with constant touring (between 150 and 200 shows per year), the Jude Bowerman Band has just released a fourth CD, "We Only Met Yesterday," for Yellow Tone Records in May, 2005. Several cuts from "We Only Met Yesterday" have become band classics and audience favorites. Everybody’s Got A Light, Truth of the Matter and the title track, We Only Met Yesterday, are perennial crowd pleasers. Having sold over 20,000 discs to date, their growing grassroots following has made them fan favorites with sold-out performances at clubs and festivals throughout the western half of the U.S.
