Staggerin’ Jon Lee & His Lo-Life Drifter

About Me

It all began many years ago in RAF Hospital Wegberg, a place that no longer exists in a country that no longer exists and took in many salubrious forces bases until arriving in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1988.

You could get a student grant then, you know.

Since then Staggerin' Jon Lee has struck fear into audiences/been barred from venues with Hogweed, The Tribbles, Bonsai Populous, Manslaughter, The Coyote Men, The Country Irregulars, Los Morellos, Jumbo, The Ferriday Fireballs, Ukulele All-Stars and lots of other bands whose names I have forgotten.

Seven years ago he started to sing and the world trembled..

Sounds Like: I find one of the hardest things is when people say; "So what kind of music do you play?", or "what do you sound like?". At this point I tend to pass the question on to someone else... Recent replies have been; "Boot leather tough and just a little cocksure" "Someone always dies" "Outsider music" "Don't forget to mention Jonathan Richman" Personally I don't get the Joy Division thing...
Record Label: unsurprisingly unsigned
