Dj Peril(1200 Techniques/Streetelite records)is a name synonamous with all things on the hip hop/urban tip with 24 years under his belt,has maintained his position in the field through the pioneering days of hip hop in the early eighties till rite now, not to mention running his own label Street Elite records and just released his 1st solo album out now called Dj Peril’s King of the beats & founding and producing 2 albums for the ground breaking Aria award winning group 1200 Techniques and then started up Soulclap Saurdays est 2002-2009. Hype Jam presented by souclap is his new project,which pick's up where Soulclap left with out even breaking a sweat,is detined to become yet another melbourne institution in the Melb urban community,peep it at Bass lounge city every sat!.
Dj Peril founded Soulclap in 2002,which saw the like’s of many now established dj's come through its door,and has know been a prominant player and taste maker in the melbourne Urban scene for over 7 year's plus.
Soulclap has been a breeding ground for Urban Artist’s Signed & unsigned coming up in the game from the past to the present with special guests like Lupe Fiasco, dj P-money, Nino Brown, Samrai, Black Eyed Peas, Scribe, Daniel Merriweather, Moto, Sirvere, Weapon x & Ken hell,just to name a few,stopping by to add there own little sumthin sumthin to the mix.
