I am very involved in my daughter's Tae Kwon Do school (buffalotkd.com). Below is a slide show as well as a video of my daughter Ava and her best friend Dominique testing for their double black stripe belt. I just started to take Tae Kwon Do lessons on May 18, 2007 and enjoy the challenge. It is definitely alot easier to sit on the sidelines and watch!I'm a 4 time marathon runner (that is, until the knee surgery, neck surgery and at the present moment, extremely sore hips that have slowed me down!). I do love to run, and have my own web site, www.firsttimemarathoners.com. I am planning on running the New York City marathon for the third time (my fifth marathon) in November 2007.Obviously from this site you can see I love the Tragically Hip. I think Gord Downie is a lyrical genius and quite a poet.Below is someone's video I found of one of the many concerts Mike and I attended. We drove up to Toronto for our 10 year anniversary. This one is called "Luv Sic" from the new album, World Container.
The boys from the Tragically Hip. Someday, before I die. Just to have coffee and ask Gordie D. what some of his lyrics mean. Do they mean what I think they mean? The Tragically Hip on SNL

Enjoy them. When I get to see them. Which isn't often.
Occasionally I waste my time. Yes, I get lost for a few hours here and there.
I've read a few. I'm not going to get all smarmy and act like I read the Iliad for fun.
My husband for being perfect, my father because everybody loved him. My mom because she "did the best she could". My son Brendan for his brain, musical talent and his sense of humor and my daughter Ava for her generosity, joy and perseverance in all she does. My friend Sarina who truly knows the meaning of friendship and is the definition of a superMom. The little girl I mentor named Joanna, who is an A student despite her circumstances. All of the Masters and teachers at Master Chong's World Class Tae Kwon Do for daily gifts too many to mention. Gord Downie for his lyrical genius, anyone who does good with the time and/or money they have, whatever amount that may be.
