The Caribbean International Literary Festival’s activities encourage an interest in the literary arts for adults, as well as children, in a fun-loving, relaxed atmosphere. Attendees are once again expected to come from the four corners of the world to experience the best environment for creative thinking, as well as the tropical beauty of the Caribbean. CILF will close the literary festival with a golf tournament and gala event.
The CILF occurs during Antigua’s annual independence celebration. Festival officials have established a library science scholarship fund as well as are supporting the construction of the National Public Library, a key community initiative currently underway as the public library was destroyed during a hurricane. The literary festival has received the valued endorsement of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda as well as the Ministries of Tourism, Education and Culture.
