Originally from the great state of PA, I've been teaching in Taiwan for nearly 5 years and traveling when I can. I think I'm still trying to sort out the whole 'what do I want to be when I grow up' thing.In the meantime, I trust God for direction and have faith that I am where I am to be, though it's not always easy. For the most part I feel that my life is fairly ordinary, but perhaps it's the distraction of a busy schedule that illudes me to think such, for I know I've been blessed with amazing experiences, opportunities, and friendships. My hope is that I never become so wrapped up in the everyday tasks that I miss the simple joys in life, for it is the these small things that have made many a difficult day bearable and it is the small glimpses of God in the everyday life that sustain me.In a more superficial sense, when the dogs bite and the bees sting, here are a few of my favorite things: being under the stars, mountains, snow, greenery, walking barefoot in my family's backyard, existing in the company of friends, a hike or a run, staying up all night, Dr. Pepper chapstick, dancing, Cloud Gate, Ritter Sports, Nepalese and Malaysian milk tea, Jimmy Liao books, Homestar Runner, music, singing in the car, getting sucked into the vortex of good conversation, and storms.
