... TELLING STORIES trough words and photos whether it's television, news papers, magazines. It all gives me great adrenaline rush. Running gives me lots of energy, too. Believe it or not, so does cutting down trees. Recently I realised that photography makes me happy! It's as simple as that. It's more than just work, it's living life in the sence that - it just makes me happy. I've got no more words for the feeling...I guess taking photos is sort of my call. Very motivating indeed.
Some of my best work up to date is a short film from Palestine, produced for Danida, the Danish Ministry og Foreign Affairs: the story is about the only Palestinian woman who works as a truck driver in a land that's beautiful one moment and on the brink of civil war the next moment. Every day she puts on her high heels, her veil and drives her Mercedes truck. Although she lives in a society where conservative ideas and values still prevail, she gives a damn about people who gossip about her. She gives a damn about overall prejudice. Why? -because she is a role model for other women in Palestine. She is the Queen of the Roads. Education: Master (MA) in European politics, business and law, University of Surrey, UK and an MA in journalism, Roskilde University, Denmark. I've worked as a journalist at the Danish Broadcasting News for a year and a half: Horisont, TV-Avisen, Nyhedsmagasinet - and I've worked for the local news paper, Dagbladet Roskilde as a photo journalist. Recently, I finished my contract with the local news paper, Sjællandske Medier where I also worked as a photo journalist.
