Musicians like Bruce Springsteen, Madonna and Phil Collins, made a great impact on me, as well as some various musicians from the Swedish pop-scene.At the age of eleven, I started writing my own songs (before I even knew how to play the guitar). What started out as a children’s play, became a lot more serious as I grew older. I even started sending demos to record companies at the age of fourteen (they said I was too young for a music career!?)After listening a lot to the famous Swedish duo, Roxette, I changed my way of style and got more inspired by some melancholic stuff like, R.E.M. and Radiohead. I ended up writing more acoustic, melodic music, with complicated lyrics, based on the cut-up technique. Songs about love were replaced with songs about…nothing.Between 1995 and 1998, I went to a school where I studied film, music and photography. Together with my friend Fredrik, I recorded an EP called Shape Of Things To Come. In 1999, Fredrik and me formed a duo called Reeve. We wrote and recorded some pop-songs with electronic elements.After writing hundreds of songs, based on the acoustic, melodic pop-theme, I gradually changed my style. Bands like Paradise Lost, Type O Negative, Theatre of Tragedy, Metallica and Nightwish, became my biggest inspiration.In 2005, I recorded two songs called Head of State and Perfect Grace, together with my friend Christoffer.
