Grinny n T are from two different times and places; and have separate perspectives and influences, the combination of which has provided a unique sound that Australian Hip Hop has definitely been waiting for.
Though meeting through a mutual friend in 2002, it would be at least another two years before the new hip-hop duo from Melbourne, Grinny n T, would start work on what later would be known as the "Twist of Fate E.P".
Grinny, (producer/mc, 25), began training in contemporary piano from the age of 5 and has never stopped studying. Self taught in guitar, bass and drums, he has built on his original foundation of piano and has been producing beats for over 4 years now.
Influenced by a vast range of styles ranging from jazz, blues, 70's funk, 80's Aussie rock, 90's Seattle sound, and of course Australian Hip Hop, (especially the 'Melburn' sound); and mainly piano based artists such as Brian Wilson, Billy Joel and Ben Folds, Grinny has developed a distinctive palette from which he creates his musical masterpieces.
For T, (mc, 21), hip hop is more than just a musical genre, it is also a language and a lifestyle. A student of hip hop since his early teens, T has developed into a soulful, witty and skilled lyricist. Influenced by the various styles of Australian hip hop, underground American hip hop and heavy metal, T began penning raps at the age of 17, meeting Grinny that same year. Two years later they teamed up to become Grinny n T and began putting together tracks, After four years since first putting pen to paper, the now older, wiser T is ready to step up and prove himself as an established artist.
"Twist of Fate E.P." is the first compilation from Grinny..n'T. Over two years in the making, it contains five of their finest efforts:

"Twist of Fate E.P" may be Grinny'n'T's first joint offering, but it definitely won't be the last. Work has begun on the new EP which will include guest production and feature some of Melbourne's finest upcoming mc's, due for release early - mid-late 2009
