Ashanti Suriyam. Having learnt from some of North America’s leading dance teaches and choreographers, Ashanti felt she needed to share her experience with others. Leading to Suriyam Dance Promotions’ primary goal; to give aspiring Australian dancers the chance to experience the talents, and learn from internationally recognized world class dancers and choreographers.Suriyam Dance Promotions first major event was the highly successful The Luther Brown Project in March 2007. The event itself was a dance workshop series conducted by renowned choreographer Luther Brown, known for his work with stars like Diddy, Christina Aguilera, Mario, Brandy, and Alicia Keys. The Luther Brown Project saw the super-soul choreographer to the stars teach his skills and unique styles to hundreds of dance students from coast to coast as well as Channel 9 personality Kerri-Anne Kennerly live on her morning show.In November 2007, Suriyam Dance Promotions presented the Rock Your Body with Eddie Morales dance workshops in Adelaide. A city that very rarely gets included in dance workshop tours, Eddie Morales gave two workshops whilst in the city for the Justin Timberlake Future Sex Love Sounds concert tour. Boasting a resume dancing and choreographing for artists such as Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson, Morales gave Adelaide dancers a rare opportunity to lean how to dance just like the professionals.Both tours proved highly successful and showed the high demand for dance workshops around the country.
