About Me
My birthday is 11 November (Armistice Day) 1920, to Andrew Bond, a Scotsman, and Monique Delacroix from Canton de Vaud in Switzerland. My father worked for Vickers, an armaments firm, and my early life was spent abroad. When I was 11 years of age, both of my parents were killed in a climbing accident and subsequently I lived with my aunt, Miss Charmian Bond in a hamlet called Pett Bottom near Canterbury in Kent. At the age of about 12, I entered the English public school of Eton but my career there was brief and I was transferred to Fettes after some trouble with a maid. I lost my virginity on my first to Paris when I was 16. At the age of 17 I left school and briefly attended the University of Geneva. I was believed to have been killed on a mission in Japan, M wrote an obituary for Bond which appeared in the London Times. According to the obituary, I entered the Ministry of Defense in 1941 and was accorded the rank of lieutenant in the Special Branch of the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve (RNVR). Prior to my attachment to MI6, I served on board the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal. I was soon promoted to Commander and then joined the Secret Service at the end of the war. However, I joined the Secret Service in 1938, working for MI6 during the war. I gained my Double 0 number after assassinating a Japanese cypher expert in New York and a Norwegian double agent in Stockholm. In 1953 I was awarded the CMG. I have been know to be something of a linguist - apart from me attending Cambridge University where I gained a first in Oriental languages, I can speak Italian, Spanish, German, Greek, Russian and some Afghan, but I don't know Czech. My wife Teresa goes by "Tracy" because she feels "Teresa" is too grand as she once said, "Teresa is a saint; I'm known as Tracy." Born Teresa Draco in 1943, she was the child of Marc-Ange Draco, the head of "The Union Corse", a powerful international Mafia crime syndicate – not quite as large as SPECTRE, but with substantially larger "legal" operations, including Draco Construction. Teresa was the only daughter of Marc-Ange Draco and his English-born wife, who had met him while he was hiding out from the authorities in Corsica. Tracy's mother died when Teresa was 12; her father then sent her to a boarding school in Switzerland. Deprived of a stable home life, Teresa joined the "jet set", committing "one scandal after another"; when Draco cut off her allowance, Teresa committed "a greater folly" out of spite. She later married Italian Count Giulio di Vicenzo who, during their marriage, got ahold of a large portion of her money before eventually leaving her; he subsequently died while driving a Maserati in the company of one of his mistresses. During this marriage, Teresa had a child, who later died of spinal meningitis. Desperate with grief for her child, Tracy attempted suicide by jumping into the sea, to be saved by me. Her father pleaded with me to continue to see her, claiming that our relationship had changed her for the better. I initially refused, but I changed my mind when Marc-Ange offered his resources for anything I desired. Since the events of the demise of SPECTRE, I had been hunting for Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and at one point was willing to retire from MI6 because I felt the hunt was folly and that my services and abilities could be used better. Using Draco's resources, however, I was able to track Blofeld to Switzerland. In return, I continued to see Tracy and eventually fell in love with her. We married, but Tracy was murdered on our wedding day in a drive-by shooting. A Mercedes 600 drives past with Blofeld at the wheel, and Irma Bunt in the back. Blofeld fired an automatic weapon from his car killing Tracy, who is at the wheel of her Lancia Aurelia, with me in the passenger seat when we stopped to remove flowers from the car.
