I'm 35 years old, of Native American ancestry and I'm proud of my heritage because it's important to know where you came from to be able to know where you are going. On my dad's side, the family are all Tribal members of the La Jolla Band Of Indians, with a reservation near Mount Palomar in San Diego County, where I do go back to visit for camping trips, etc. The Tribe operates a seven hundred site campgound and a casino soon.

The belief is held that during challenging times, it is essential to face our challenges with the grace, power and dignity of the "winged ones."
