Since the death of Maurice Gibb, the Bee Gees forever took an important place in the pantheon of legendary groups of Pop music. The band Massachusetts brings a vivacious homage with a 2 hour long show.
With striking precision and a large sensitivity, which recall the real Bee Gees-feeling, these Belgium boys have now captured an international audience and are being recognized by the official European Bee Gees Fan club. And from this moment on this band has their own fan club!
Massachusetts offers a selection of the greatest songs from the enormous formidable and timeless repertoire of the Brothers Gibb.
The audience is taken from one big melody to another, and all of a sudden you are reliving the Flower Power period. Many nostalgic and heartwarming songs are being performed, from New York Mining Disaster 1941, the first success in the 60’s, till ‘This is where I came’ of their latest album almost 40 years later. Of course are the disco lovers not to be forgotten and are the Hits ‘Stayin’ alive’ and ‘Night Fever’ also in the program!

ABOUT THE BAND:
Michel Azaïs: Vocal and guitar
This Belgium singer has recorded several albums. His last record "Mon Lundi d'Ostende", has had success in different (French speaking) countries and Canada. He is the founder of the band and has been a big fan of the Bee Gees since his childhood
Marc Bouille: Vocal
Marc gives singing lessons and has song in different disco-funk bands. As a falsetto-specialist of great quality, he takes on the Barry Gibb voice from the disco period
Raphaël Laforgia : Guitar and vocal
This general accepted guitar player is a passionate lover of the acoustics guitar (finger picking technique). He manages his own musical project and escorts as professional musician other singers. Raphaël also represents the discreet and precious voice, which is so distinctive for the harmonic sound of the brothers Gibb.
Benoit Poncin : Basguitar en vocal
Benoit is already been on stage for more than a decade and escort, as well ‘live’ as in the studio different artists and pop/rock-bands . He takes part in several musical projects and has a strongly developed feeling for cooperation within a band
Thierry Vingre : Keyboard en Vocal
The tracks of the Bee Gees are often backed by the soft and harmonic keyboard sounds. This part comes from Thierry, who is as discreetly effective. Thierry is a big fan of the Motown music and loves the international amusement music and of all Bee Gees compositions. He plays the piano from his 5th birthday on
Raphaël Pire : Drums
Raphaël Pire has developed himself the last few years, within the Luikse surroundings, as a effectual drummer. He has a American ‘groove’ style of drumming. He has been influenced by singers like: Ben Taylor Band, Sheryl Crow, John Fogerty. Through his father Michel Azais (leader of the band) he has been surrounded by the Bee Gees music since childhood.
