In pills, here is our story.This - ever meant to be - DEEP PURPLE tribute band was born around 1985 because of the crazy idea of sixteen year old guitarist Gianluca Corona and coetaneous fellow keyboard player Alessio Sanna. After too many years of looking for the right people to play with, they eventually stumbled upon the very committed and furious drumming of Giovanni Collu, the only one at that time (and in our knowledge) that could deal with tunes like YOU FOOL NO ONE or BURN. Then was the turn for Marco Campus to join the band, with his right attitude to be nothing but a solid, easy going, and yet dedicated support with his - no more then - four string fender bass. Quite later on, in the mid nineteens, Jeffrey became the resident lead singer of this band. And CHILD IN TIME was not anymore a big trouble to deal with. The band has performed all over Sardinia, but never went overseas. Poetto is the name of a vaste and wonderful beach in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. Many gigs in many venues are going on 'till late there in the hot summer, and there is where we often play. We still get together sometime, everyone with his story behind, it's really like a friends reunion everytime we meet and turn up the volume. We like to be as more philologics as possible, we wear wigs, we dress as in the seventies, we play very loud, and, even if not very often, some guitar has been smashed to the floor. We have many vintage instrument related to the story. Hammond, leslie, rhodes, moog, ludwig silver sparkle 70's drum kit, 70's guitar and Marshall major head. Actually we are quite happy with the sound we have. Also, as living in Sardinia is nearly like living in a paradise postcard but without many chances to get gigs, we wouldn't mind at all to perform wherever it will be possible.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
