The Steve Hill Band

About Me

STEVE HILL began his vocal career in 1979, being the front man for Wysh, Blue Smoke, and Roughhouse before joing Chris Elliott to form The Steve Hill Band. During his tenure with Roughhouse he opened for Molly Hatchett, The Outlaws, and The Johnny Van Zandt Band (before he joined Lynyrd Skynyrd).
CHRIS ELLIOTT has played guitar since he was 13 years old. He taught lessons for 20 years, and retired from that just a few years ago. His playing style is rock and blues, but he digs many kinds of music, especially classical, jazz, blues, hard rock, and heavy metal. Main influences include Gary Moore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Freddie King, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray, Paul Gilbert, and many others. He has played in bands through the years such as Antrim, Graveyard, The Revelators, The Dirt Rabbits, and has done studio session work for other bands and musicians as well.
STEVE "Hobart" WARD has been playing the bass for 16 years. "Ive always had a connection with music & I like creativity. I love playing live with the energy you get from a good crowd & connecting with the other musicians. I play bass because I like the drive in the rhythm & the feel you can put in the bottom end of a song." His former bands are The Roosters and Steve and the Asstones. His many influences include The Allman Brothers,Kiss, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Elmore James, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Charles Mingus.
TODD STANSFIELD has been playing the drums for over 25 years. Some of his bands include Antrim, Problem Child, Chaos, Scary Mary, Access Denied, Filament, Tank Murdock, Not Inc, and Pork Chop Salad. His bands have opened for national acts including Krokus, Metal Church, Overkill and Vince Neil. Todd's musical influences include Dave Lombardo, Bill Ward, Neil Peart and Tommy Aldridge.
