Stuart Trash & Sasha Ca$h make up this interesting DJ / Producer Duo. Known as the Trash4ca$h DJs, Stuart & Sasha have been busy in the studio working on their first mainstream single to be released in May.
Stuart McCarthy AKA Stuart Trash originated from the ARIA nominated group Southend, In 1993, their debut ‘Fanatical’ EP was released to glowing reviews and saw them team up with DJ’s Paul Holden, Abel & Nik Fish to create cutting edge remixes.
It was when working on a remix of crowd favourite "Take Me Up" with Nik Fish, that the National ARIA Top 10 hit single "The Winner Is…" was born.
Sasha Ca$h has been around for some time now. Having started DJing at the age of 16 he quickly gained a following in the Sydney Rave scene as one of the youngest DJs. He has toured around Australia playing at most major clubs and in 2001 decided that DJing wasn’t his main passion anymore. In 2004 he teamed up with Stuart to work on a remix of the rave classic tune Vagen's - Buggin which was released on local label Seascape Recordings.
During their time in the studio together they came up with the concept of "Trash4ca$h" and quickly penned a few controversial tunes and released them free on their website - www.trash4cash.info
Their first track which featured Ray Hadley's dummy spit received over 1200 downloads in the first 24 hours of release and was quickly picked up by media outlets who further pushed the popularity of their releases in the media. This was quickly followed by satirical dance tracks that featured George Bush in "God Bless America", Naomi Robson’s famous outburst in "Right on Cue" and an Australian election favourite featuring John Howard and Mark Latham in "Here's Johnny Howard" It was this track that gained attention from Dutch producers Hocus Pocus as the track was a remix of their hit 1993 tune "Here's Johnny".
Trash4ca$h are in the studio at the moment working on a new single due for release in May 07.
