Born in Huddersfield, England on the 1st of June 1980 as Tamlan Raymond Bachir Saoudi. Tamlan known to most as Tam is the son of a British mother and Algerian father. It was this multi cultured upbringing that played a vital role in Tam's love affair with music of vastly different backgrounds; Western music for its forward thinking sound and adaption to technology contrasting with North Africa's traditional use of deep simple drums and melodic pipes. Today you can hear this influence in Tam's sets which play host to these differing musical aspects.Tam's djing carreer is one which began humbly on the streets of Glasgow 8 years ago where he would happily hand out fliers and PR for his favourite clubs in order to get free entry to see his favourite DJs. It was during this period that Tam was introduced to djing.Tam's growing reputation only really came to the fore as recently as three and a half years ago when he was invited to play in China, playing a part in the ever growing scene that has taken the world by storm. Afetr six months on the road he was asked to take a residency at the infamous SOS club which with his help has grown to become one of the most respected and cutting edge clubs in Asia.With SOS as his hub Tam has grown to become a rising star in the Asian electronic music scene where he is forging a sound that is moving away from the more commercial music synonymous with Asian dancefloors. Pushing genres such as Techno, minimal and deep house.Aswell as playing alongside DJs such as Tiesto, Sasha, AVB, Fergie and other respected Djs Tam has also appeared in Dj Mag; the worlds leading magazine on Djing and electronic music.
