To my new, old and future friends, welcome and thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to at least scan my page. I know this page takes a while to load up and I’m in the process of fixing that error for your convenience to hit me up faster. Meanwhile, I figured I’d take a few minutes out of ”my nothing to do life” and upgrade.
For those that don’t know me… On November 28th 1980 I was named Lyndale Curley, along with a clan that I will never forget because not only did my grandparents and parents told me not to it’s apart of who I am… I am Edgewater (To’baa’hi), born for Big Water (Tótsóhnii) my maternal clan is Bitter Water (Tódích'íi'nii) and my paternal is Badlands People (Ta'néészahnii) I am originally from Jeddito Arizona but moved out to Navajo Arizona in 1991. I finished grade school in Sanders Middle School and graduated from Greyhills Academy High School (Class of 1999). Went to college at Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (Albuquerque NM) majored in Accounting, afterwards transferred to Coconino Community College (Flagstaff AZ) majored in Business Management.
Currently I am residing in Navajo AZ with my mother. We recently lost two family members an uncle and a grandmother to me but a one and only young brother and a precious mother to my mom… I figured it would be nice to move back in with my mother to make the grieving process a bit easier on her by being there. I am slowly searching for employment near my residence, and let me say it’s a whole lot harder to do so than it is in any other areas I have resided (Phoenix, Albuquerque, Flagstaff and Holbrook). But as always I try to make every place habitable for me… If I don’t find a job near here than it’s possible I’m packing my bags and moving into the urban city of Albuquerque NM, I have to make sure my mother is feeling better first before I do so…
At the age of 20 I finally had the courage to come out to my mother, at the time I was dating a very nice handsome guy whom I still dearly love… I must say I never thought my mother would take the whole process on a light level and it was a great feeling to have a huge sense of relief off my shoulders. Mother cried and told me “ No matter what you say you are, you’re always going to be my first born son, I love you” following a huge warm hug…Later I told my brother and sister, than 3 years later my father. My father took it lightly as well and to this day I don’t care what others think of my sexuality the only thing that matters to me is that my parents and siblings love me for me and the rest is gone… I must add, for those that haven’t come out and don’t have the family that are understanding I wish you the best and I give you the courage to always love yourself because that’s the only way others will start loving you…Don’t be afraid to be yourself, only you will make yourself feel comfortable… Much love to GLBT and family, friends, and support groups whom are always there to show much love… A’hee’hee (thanks)
On November 23, 2007: I became an uncle to a loving baby girl whom I hold dearly to my heart. I thank god daily to have blessed me with such a beautiful niece! A child always brings hope, faith, and love, of course a new loving heart. It’s a blessing to have her around because she is by far the only person whom gets us through the rough times of heartaches. We may have lost beloved families but rewarded with a new gift of life and I believe Natahliyah was a gift from above to heal our broken hearts from the past and learn to move forward with tools we have learned along the way to teach her what life is all about. Although Natahliyah didn’t spend a lot of time with my uncle, grandma as well as grandpa but I know we can always let her know she came from a beautiful family and show her photos as well as memorable stories of her great grandparents as well as her always remembered hilarious grandpa “Sonny” where she received her middle name… Nataliyah Sonny Curley, welcome into my heart and may I always be there for you as you grow! To uncle, grandma as well as grandpa R.I.P we miss you all dearly…
Enclosing, I hope to hear from all of you and don’t be shy to mail me or even add me on as a friend… I’m always open to meeting all walks of life… I have had the opportunity to meet all types of people through my path, and to this day it’s a blessing to see or even spend a few hours with each of them. I didn’t cover much of my hobbies and other things that you’re probably curious about, but like I said mail me and I’ll get back to you with your questions… Last but not least, take care and always express your love to your family, friends and others that hold a special place in your heart because you can never predict the future… May the holy people bless you with love, faith, hope, and charity with the safety of yourself and loved ones.
