About Me

Formed on February 1st, 2007 by 2 members of a halifax rock band, Prestin Manning(Matt and Ben) when they ran into Jason. Jason jammed with Matt and Ben for a bit and decided to start another one. A Drummer was needed, and Ryan offered to step up, even though he was an accomplished guitar player. The group worked well together and produced some awesome music. Many names were proposed, Overcover was their 1st choice but was later changed to Hemsworth. Hemsworth just sounded cool, no other reason. From that day on the band was formed.

:Hemsworth: - Halifax Rock Band
Influences: Jason started off listening to punk rock but later moved onto heavier metal bands. His solos are the sounds of a young Jimi Hendrix. He also has a taste for rap and hiphop. Matt and Ben AND Ryan love Red Hot Chilli Peppers, 'nuff said. With that mix there can really only be one band like Hemsworth.
Sounds Like: Very hard to describe how Hemsworth sounds, we are a mash of very different styles of music. Maybe like a Metal-Switchfoot-Coldplay thingy. Maybe nothing like that at all, really you just have to hear us. We sound like what a band of 4 crazy guys would sound like.

Recording the Hemsworth EP/Demo(5 track)
