Heroes for Hire

About Me

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Heroes for Hire is now going by the name Almost Eliot. Our new home on myspace is here: www.MySpace.com/AlmostEliot
The reasons for this change are many. First, we've switched around a few band members. Second, our sound has evolved into something deeper than what Heroes was doing before. Lastly, there are already several bands with the name "Heroes for Hire" and we'd rather avoid the name game drama and lawsuits before it's too late.
Check out our new space and add us! We really appreciate your support and understanding throughout this transition. You guys are the best!

My Interests

DAYV FROST: Bass guitar, backing vocals, sense of humor
DAN WOLFE: Lead guitar, backing vocals, bringing sexy back
MIKE LAMAGNA: Drums, bus driver
KEVIN WITUCKI: Percussion, substitute bass, substitute drummer, rock star
Influences: We each have those artists that most inspire us to make the music we do. Here's everyone's top five musical influences:
MATT: Caedmon's Call, Duncan Sheik, Jars of Clay, James Taylor, and The Smashing Pumpkins
DAYV: Blues Traveler, The Specials, They Might Be Giants, Ben Folds Five, Yes
DAN: Freddie King, Slash, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, Robert Johnson
Sounds Like: Music you're used to hearing, yet don't expect. The melodies are fresh and singable, the lyrics are honest, and the overall sound is driven by passion. Compared to other artists on the market, Heroes for Hire sounds most like alternative rock bands like Keane, Damien Rice, Barenaked Ladies, Daniel Powter, Deathcab for Cutie, The Fray, and John Mayer.
Record Label: Unsigned
