Born Kimberley Yvonne Elaine in Kingston Jamaica on November 13th 1980, the artist known as KYE was surrounded by music at a very young age. Her Great-Grandfather was conductor of the Royal Philharmonic in London, England and performed on countless occasions in Kingston, Jamaica. Other family members influenced her love for music as well.KYE began singing in the elementary school choir and starring in school plays at the age of 7 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She then moved to Dallas, Texas at the age of 13 where she became a member of the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Angels of Light Choir and The Heaven Bound Choir of Greater Dallas. While attending the University of North Texas, KYE was led to pursue a modeling career which limited her time for music.It wasn’t until she teamed up with Hitmakerz Muzic Group and Menace Productions that she was given the opportunity to revisit her passion for singing. Although it was like starting from scratch, KYE has put forth every effort to make music the main focus of her life and to achieve greatness. She has further gone on to work with labels such as HD Studios, PMG Enterprises, Trak4Trak Records, Lik' David Productions and Newman Enterprises of Kansas City, Missouri.Spending countless hours writing and recording in the studio, weekly voice lessons, and attending open mics every chance she gets, KYE is determined to stimulate her audience’s musical mind!
