We are here: the pale blue dot ..
"This is a project I put together centered around the “The Pale Blue Dotâ€. It is the image of Earth taken by Voyager I on February 14, 1990 from 4 billion miles away. This image stands as the most distant view of Earth that we have ever seen. To me, this image encapsulates the fragility of our world and the ephemeral time we have on Earth not only as individuals, but as a species. This is not meant to be nihilistic or defeatist. Rather, it should inspire us to make the most out of our brief stay here on Earth. It is a scale on which to measure the insignificance of our differences and magnifies the importance of our similarities." David Fu
