About Me

Welcome to MY space...
So sit down, STFU up and have a nice day.
Well as most of you already know, and the rest can probably guess, I am from Scotland. Yes..*gasp* I'm a foreigner. I've been Stateside for going on 5 years, and am very slowly beginning to settle in. I mean I could do without all the Americans all over the place but life ain't perfect. j/k Back in ’03 I hated this place, and now I consider it as much home as I do Scotland. Last 4 or so years have been an interesting rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, joys and sorrows, and some of the hardest times in my life. America, California more precisely, is a far cry from Scotland. The cultures, lifestyles and people are astoundingly different, and day by day I am confronted with new things. And as strange and diverse as California is I love it even more day by day. Now that I’ve settled down, I’m finally beginning to find my feet and come into my own. The last 6 months especially have had a profound effect on that process. I think or believe I have passed all the tests that have been set before me in the States. Life can do it's very best to beat me down, but even a glass bottle to the back of the head can't keep me there. ;)
I work at Starbucks with a banging crew, and I swear I love working there...honest. [Next person to order a Frap, extra hot drink, or bone dry Cap better watch the fuck out]. Got a solid group of buddies at Castro, and elsewhere. I am affectionately known as Scottish, Hawt Chocolate, Kneecaps all of which have interesting stories. I have a reputation for being a (dare I say it) metrosexual, a bit of a heavy drinker, too nice, and a ladies gentleman (something which seems utterly redundant in the States). It is generally accepted that I have a fancy for wearing 'skirts', for being stubbornly Scottish (or just generally not American) and that as a result I have weird taste in food, clothes, girls, music and so on. I am reknowned for being overtly sarcastic, blunt and possibly even cocky... I'll stand up to anyone (even if they have their posse surrounding me, and they're all twice my size - sound familiar?), and I pretty proud of the fact that I stand by my buddies - despite the odds. No matter what. I am me - love me or hate me. Your choice. I ain't gonna change myself for anybody.
And another thing...

Eclectic tastes my ass! I'm a rock 'n' roll! If it's ballsy, reverberating with energy and resonating with cockiness then it's in my CD collection I fucking love Classic Rock (60's - 80's), and worship British Rock. You know, Oasis and the like.

Ian Brown and The Stone Roses are fucking legend!

I've been getting back into all that trance/house/electronica stuff too lately.
